Test Automation Engineer (C++)

Here at QUADIGI we provide software development and testing services for safety and medical devices. In particular we specialize in embedded and application software for lung ventilation, anesthesia, breathalyzers, gas detectors and other similar devices used by emergency services as well as industrial workers all over the world.

Join our Platform Unit in the Medical Division, where innovation meets impact.

As part of this dynamic team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of core software solutions that power a range of life-saving medical products—including lung ventilators, anesthesia systems, and neonatal incubators.

To uphold the highest standards of stability and quality, our Test Automation Engineers play a key role in building and advancing automated testing frameworks that ensure these critical systems perform reliably in real-world clinical environments.

Work

Key areas of responsibility for this position include:

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation architectures using proven test design methodologies.
  • Develop and execute automated tests, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with project requirements.
  • Perform  automated software testing, utilizing detailed test documentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and provide valuable feedback on system design and test documentation from a testing perspective.
  • Measure and evaluate the quality of systems and software products, offering insights to enhance product code.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to development teams, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

 

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications and experience:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience of software development in C++.
  • Experience with Python is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with software testing, including unit tests, integration or system level tests. 
  • Familiarity with test frameworks such as Google Test or CppUnit.  
  • Advantageous to have experience in software development for embedded and real-time applications.  
  • Familiarity with common build systems (CMake) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins) would be considered as advantage.  
  • Experience working within a structured software development process driven by formal requirements.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • A collaborative team player with an open and communicative nature, who can work independently and with attention to details.
